How it Works
Guests receive a printed sheet listing adult animal names and a separate column of baby animal names. They draw lines to match each adult animal to its correct offspring name. Most correct wins.
Instructions
Print the Match Sheets
Print sheets with 20 adult animals in one column and their baby names jumbled in another. Leave a line to draw connections.
Set a Time Limit
Give guests 3–5 minutes to match as many pairs as they can. Most are trickier than they look (kit = fox? rabbit? ferret?).
Reveal the Answers
Go through each pair together. The surprising ones always spark discussion — a cygnet (baby swan) gets gasps every time.
Award the Naturalist
Most correct matches wins. Perfect score deserves a special acknowledgment — it's genuinely impressive.
